                                                  STOP PLAYING THE HOST
Hello,Divas...health!health!!health!!!.Don't scream out with me,Lolz..Today is our health day and we would be discussing on one major health problem we often overlook or maybe not pay attention to...INFECTIONS..
Now am scared.
A human with an infection, has another organism living inside their body system which nourishes or sustains itself from that person and not only those it stop at that,it also colonizes and reproduces inside them. Now we can refer to that person as the "Host" of the parasitic organism. When the colonization harms or disturbs the body system of the "host",it's known as an INFECTION. It feeds and multiplies at the expense of the host to an extent where his or her health is affected, and they are known as PATHOGENS,(E.g:parasites,fungi,bacteria,viruses,etc.)..We all as humans develop a wide range of infections but our immune(body soldiers),fights them off easily but when they are persistent and long termed they develop into a chronic infection(s) .Majority of these chronic infections are caused by viruses.Infections are classified into viral, bacterial and fungal infections(i.e infections caused by viruses, bacterias and fungi respectively),and examples of these infections are Respiratory infection of the upper airways, nose and throat which is gotten by inhaling the virus,cholera,typhoid,herpes,hepatitis,Hiv/AIDS,tetanus and all the STD's out there, trust me they are so many.....Huh!your as scared as I was initially right?I know... but there is always a way out..
                                               *Ways to Avoid INFECTIONS*
Well one can't be super doper careful always to completely avoid catching an infection but there are some pretty good steps to follow that would help us..
• Always wash your hands regularly as some microbes lives for a short period of time although some lives longer but all the same washing can do a whole lot of good but if you can't keep to the washing thing regularly then use a hand Sanitizer, it's much better.
• Try as much as possible not to share personal items like toothbrushes, towels, handkerchiefs, razors or sharp objects with anybody.
• Always cover your mouth whenever you sneeze or cough.
• Get vaccinated: do not joke wit vaccines they help build up the immune systems by playing the "trick" on them, making them think your body is infected and enhances it's immunity against subsequent infections.
• Practice Safe sex...if U can't abstain please use a condom,don't be foolish.
• Use safe cooking practices, always wash Ur veggies and fruits with salt before eating them to help kill some bacterias which could have been on them, steam or cook some meals for some minutes before digging in and refrigerating is very helpful.
• Maintain healthy personal hygienes, don't pick your nose or mouth as transferring of these microbes could be very possible, avoid always touching or rubbing Ur face especially when your sweaty.
• Wash your undies thoroughly and make sure they are sun dried..I must not remind you that your bathroom and toilet should be the neatest part of your houses.
• Try to have 2 set of panties.. 1)For your use and 2)during menstruation..Try not to mix these two sets together.
And with these practices we can only assume that we would be infection free and live a healthier life...Yippee...now that was relieving don't U think so..if you have any suggestions bring it on let's look at it together..Live Healthy,Be happy.
